We've Moved!

From July '07 Aqua Visions center of operations will move location to a newer, bigger office in Ao Nang. As we have outgrown our small beach front office we have now moved to bigger premises up the road opposite the Divers Inn and next door to the Siam Commercial bank (look for the purple sign after McDonalds).

The move means that we now have all of our facilities - classroom, equipment storage, office and booking office in the same place, saving us time and effort in our daily operations. The huge wall space has been decorated with a 270° undersea mural - beautifully painted by a renowned local artist, and as ever we have complimentary coffee bar, ice cold soft drinks and dive library for you to enjoy after yor days diving. Situated directly on the beach at Klong Muang village away from the bustling resort of Ao Nang, our Klong Muang Office is a short trip from the Krabi Sands Resort and the Sofitel, and ten minutes by minibus from the resorts in Tub Kaak, so if you're staying in Klong Muang or Tub Kaak you can choose from a range of simple introductory dive courses and experience stress free scuba with our friendly and professional dive instructors, just a stones throw away from wherever you are More Info

Dive, Dine & Drink

To fill a gap that's been in the market since Ao Nang diving activities started, Aqua Vision is now running a "Sunday Sunset" dive cruise aimed at all those divers who'd rather have a few extra hours in bed before heading out to dive.

The trip leaves Ao Nang beach at 1 o'clock in the afternoon every Sunday throughout the high season, (giving you plenty of time for a Sunday morning lie in after your Saturday night out) and includes two shallow, satisfying dives at the local islands followed by an on board all-you-can-eat barbeque, ice cold beers to wash it down with and a slow cruise back to the beach as you watch the spectacular sunset over Phra Nang bay.

Definately a trip not to be missed, so book early 'cause it's likely to be very popular - we may even extend it to twice a week if demand continues. Originally Posted 23rd January '07

News!

As of November 2007, all of our PADI and SSI dive courses as well as our free pool scuba demonstrations and kids scuba experiences will take place in the Sheratons brand new multilevel, free form, horizon pool. The new pool is situated right on the beach and features waterfall showers, swim-up bar, full waiter service, a new Thai and Indian restaurant and an incredible ocean view. We just hope you don't mind leaving it behind when we go out on the dive trips.

Bigger, Better, Faster Dive Boat

After several seasons of diving with our "Big" dive cruiser Rung Sip - it's time to bid her a fond farewell - From October we will be upgrading to our newer bigger and better boat - as a taster we will have a seperate crew cabin, a large carpeted interior lounge and tv room, for and aft access to the three sun decks, a very spacious dive area, faster cruising speed and an entirely new crew. Krabi International Airport Terminal Open

Krabis development as a forward thinking travel destination took a great leap forward this month with the opening of the brand new International air terminal at Krabi airport. As well as providing a more reassuring welcome to first time domestic visitors, the large and modern terminal will in the future also be taking international flights from around the world. Singapore and Sweden are already on board, with China, Malaysia, Hong Kong and a few more distant destinations looking on with interest.

If anything the new terminal seems a little too large, with the wind whistling through the yet to be filled concession stands and shops. The old Thai restaurant is gone, replaced by a deli style outlet selling a pretty good selection of Sub sandwiches, quiches, salads, fresh fruit juices and hot snacks. Try the sandwiches made in rosemary, oregano and other flavoured baguettes - excellent.

Watch this space and the getting here link for more info as international flights become available and those empty spaces become fewer and farther between- Originally Posted 11th June '06

Whale Shark Madness

Where are they all coming from? Whale sharks are popping up everywhere this season, with eight seen last week at Hin Bida a shallow sight which receives fairly infrequent visits by the big fish, not only on the same day but all together. Wish I'd not been in the office that day. - Originally Posted 11th March '05

Amazing Value Thailand!!

Thanks to the great strength of the Pound and the Euro at the moment everything in Thailand is now at a bargain rate. So if you're thinking of buying any scuba or snorkelling gear for your holiday - wait until you get to Thailand! That also goes for clothing, ao nang is chock full of tailors shops who can make you a hand fitted suit for less than a price of a meal out in Europe. > currency converter

Aqua Vision Opens At The Sheraton!

Aqua Vision Sheraton Beach

After a year of working from a small desk on the beach, the staff at our Sheraton Krabi Beach Resort office, were very happy to finally be able to throw open the doors of our brand new beach front dive center.

Hidden beneath the traditional palm frond roof is a beautifully styled state of the art office, fully air conditioned, with cable TV, DVD, VHS, coffee bar, computer and every other feature to be expected of a modern day dive center. The office is also tastefully decked out with wooden furniture, and has outside showers and equipment wash down area.

If you're staying at the Sheraton, or just taking a stroll down Klong Muang beach, drop in for a coffee and a chat, and please don't be afraid of getting the chairs wet, it looks great, but it's still a dive center!
