Getting to Krabi is becoming easier all the time with the new Krabi airport terminals, new ferry terminals and improved road and transport links. Whether you're coming by road, sea or air there are simple and safe options to get you here on any kind of budget.

Flights To Krabi

Budget Flights Now Available!

Krabi's super modern International Airport opened in March 2006 and takes daily flights from Bangkok and Phuket with Thai Airways, there are also four or five low cost daily flights with budget airlines Air Asia and Nok Air for as little as 900 Baht if you book early.

Tiger Air also has regularly scheduled flights coming in from Singapore, and no doubt the future will see international flights coming in from all over the world. Watch this space for more info.

Air Asia Flights To Krabi From Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur

Air Asia runs a frequent no frills service with regular flights between Krabi, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. Flights get cheaper the further in advance that you book, but are still half the price of Thai Airways even if you book at the last minute.

Bangkok Airways Flights To Krabi

Bangkok airways usually runs a daily flight from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (PG4702 departs at 08:00 am), and from Krabi (PG4703 departs at 10:10 am) back to Bangkok.

Bangkok Airways also runs an intermittent service between Koh Samui and Krabi, with 3 weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. PG 265 leaves Samui for Krabi at 12:05 pm with the return flight PG266 leaving Krabi for Samui at 13:40 pm.

Nok Air Flights To Krabi

Thai Airways Flights To Krabi

Ferries To Krabi

From Phi Phi, Phuket or Ko Lanta

If you're coming from Phuket or Phi Phi there are daily ferries which come directly to Ao Nang Beach throughout the season from Phi Phi and in the high season from Phuket.

Krabi has one of Thailand's most modern and up to date ferry terminals near Krabi Town which also brings in daily ferries throughout the year from Koh Lanta.

By Road To Krabi

From Bangkok / Phuket

If you're driving from Phuket or Bangkok via Surat Thani you'll have no problems navigating your way to Ao Nang as the roads are few, clear and well marked. You'll also be driving through some of the worlds most stunning landscapes so take your time to enjoy the view.

Buses leave regularly from Bangkok's Southern Bus terminal on Boromratch Chonnani Road, mostly making the 10 hour trip at night and costing between 630 to 1'000 Baht depending on the level of comfort you prefer.

An overnight train is also available from Bangkok, stopping at Surat Thani to change to a bus for the final leg, but with flights at bargain prices there's no real need to take a long and uncomfortable bus or train journey any more. 

There are also direct bus connections from Ko Samui (via Surat Thani, Had Yai, Phuket, Trang and many other places.

Buses all arrive in Krabi Town. Government buses go to the bus terminal in Talaat Kao; private tour buses arrive in the Andaman Wave Master station which is on the main road out of Krabi towards Ao Nang.
